Itinerary

Day 1 – Cusco -  Ollantaytambo - Machu Picchu - Cusco

Early in the morning, we´ll pick you up from your hotel in Cusco, to travel for approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes by car to the train station located in the town of Ollantaytambo. Here you will board the train that passes through the Sacred Valley of the Incas on a fantastic journey that goes from the Andes to the cloud forest in Aguas Calientes. This fantastic train journey lasts approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. Upon arriving in this small town, our representative will be waiting to assist you in taking the bus that will take you to  Machu Picchu, the Archaeological Sanctuary and one of the seven wonders from the world, The bus ride takes 30 minutes.

Finally, we will arrive at the historic sanctuary to start your tour in Machu Picchu. Recharge your energy, open your arms, and feel the magic of this ancient place. Enjoy the breathtaking view from the Inka citadel; it's surely a moment you've been eagerly waiting for. After the unforgettable experience, your guide will start the tour  which will last approximately 2 hours so that you can learn more about the history and architecture of this marvelous place. You should know that currently the visiting time is limited to a maximum of 2 hours. Within the citadel of Machu Picchu, we can explore the different zones like the urban and farmin area, also you´ll appreciate the nature and the nice mountains.

After the tour, you will return by bus to Aguas Calientes, where you will have time to have lunch and explore the town,  and craft shops. Here you´ll board the train back to Ollantaytambo, where our representative will be waiting for you with a sign and your name written on it. Our transportation will take you back to Cusco , and  we will conclude our full-day tour to Machu Picchu in one day.

Recommendations:

• Bring your identification document or passport with which you purchased the entrance ticket.
• Arrive half an hour early at the train station.
• Do not bring much luggage; only 7kg is allowed on the train.
• We suggest carrying a small backpack along with your camera, wearing a hat, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, and carrying a water bottle.
• In Machu Picchu, you will climb many stairs, so wear suitable hiking shoes.
• After the guided tour in Machu Picchu, enjoy the magical moment, open your arms, and recharge your energy.
• Visit the thermal baths in Aguas Calientes.
