This is one of the most exciting adventure tours in the Sacred Valley: Maras, Moray, and Salt Mines. It starts just an hour away from the city of Cusco.
You don't need much experience to ride the quad bikes in the Sacred Valley. All our quad bikes are automatic and semi-automatic, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful views and be in touch with nature.
We offer two different routes where you'll also have time to visit the Moray archaeological site (optional), the Salt Mines (optional), the small town of Maras, and the Laguna along the way.
Undoubtedly, the best adventure activity for a free half-day in Cusco.
For this adventure tour, we have departures every day, either in the morning or in the afternoon.
The quad bike tour in the Sacred Valley can start in the morning (7:00 am) or in the afternoon (1:00 pm). We'll meet at the Plaza de Armas in Cusco (the exact location will be coordinated one day before the tour) and then take an almost one-hour journey to our base in Cruzpata.
After a brief explanation of how to use the quad bikes and safety guidelines, we'll start with a 10-minute practice session before beginning our circuit.
The driving route lasts approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, all off-road. We'll make stops at viewpoints and special places for taking photos, where you can capture the everyday life of the people who live there and admire the typical facades of their houses.
We'll ride through spectacular places where few people pass and where nature showcases its greatest splendor to impress us at every moment. Along the route, you'll also have the option to observe local agriculture up close. Additionally, you'll have the option to visit the Moray archaeological site, known as the "Inca agricultural experimentation center" (optional entry). Please note that from September to December 2022, the visit to Moray is not available for this tour.
After completing the quad bike circuit, our transportation will take you to the Maras Salt Mines since it is prohibited to enter the salt pools with these vehicles.
We'll also admire indescribable landscapes with tall mountains that hold sacred significance for our people. Among the highest peaks, you'll be able to distinguish the 5,682-meter "WaqaqWillka," known as La Verónica, as well as the guardian of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, "El Chicón," at 5,530 meters above sea level.
Furthermore, you'll have a panoramic view of the "Vilcanota" mountain range. Afterward, we'll return to our base and take our transportation back to Cusco.
Note: This tour can also start and end in Urubamba or another location in the Sacred Valley with an additional cost for transportation.
