The mountain of seven colors of Palcoyo is located in the town of "Palcoyo" at 4,900 m.a.s.l. near the snowy Ausangate, in the Andes Mountains of Peru in the district of Checacupe, province of Canchis in the region of Cusco.
Early in the mourning (5am), our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel, to go in the direction of South Valley. We travel by the main paved road during 3h until the town of Combapata, from this point we change for unpaved road until Palccoyo for approximately 01 hour. Once we reach the parking area (13,900 ft.) we will begin the walk to Palccoyo (16,200 ft.) for approximately 01 hour.
Beautiful landscapes adorned with llamas and alpacas will be part of our experience. Once at the top we will contemplate the beautiful multicolored structure of the geological formation of the mountain. Continuing with the exploration we visit a rock formation beside Rainbow Mountain, for millions of years was sculpted by nature. On the way, a natural viewpoint will show an impressive view of "Ausangate" (21000, ft.). After taking photos and memories of the place we are ready to return to our starting point.
We back on the road to the community of Combapata, where we will have our lunch. Later return to the city of Cusco.
