Then we arrive to the colonial town of Paucartambo where we will have a visit to its market, square and streets. Later we ascend to the “Acjanaco” pass, the entrance to the Manu National Park and the beginning of the “Cloud Forest” ecosystem, which is home to a great variety of flora and fauna; orchids, heliconias, primitive ferns and large trees, but we also find animals typical of the region such as the cock of the Rock, an emblematic bird of the cloud forest, we can also find trogons, quetzals, monkeys and with a little luck the only bear in South America, the spectacled bear. Taking short walks along the road looking for any evidence of these flora and fauna we arrive to our lodge located in the intermediated zone of Hill forest.

At noon we arrived at the confluence with the Manu River, the community of Boca Manu, a place to supply fuel to our boat in addition to making a short visit to the community.
